Loopway is organized around three ways to find what you need:
1. By state. Every state runs its own recycling or waste-reduction program, and many have an independent nonprofit recycling association or reuse coalition. Start on the State Resources hub, then click through to your state’s dedicated page.
2. By category. If you have a specific item — a mattress, a car battery, a bag of clothes — the Categories guide points you to the right kind of program, with a dedicated page per category.
3. By organization. The National Directory lists organizations, companies, and coalitions that operate across most or all of the country.
We also run a recurring Project of the Month feature and an annual Earth Day Award to highlight people and organizations doing standout work.
Everything on Loopway is compiled from official sources and public research. We link out to primary sources wherever possible so you can verify details yourself before making a trip or a donation.
