Andrew Siegel owns and operates The Junkluggers of Greater Dallas, an eco-friendly junk removal franchise built around a simple rule: donate and recycle first, landfill last. Over several years, Siegel's team has taken that mission into the community by hosting free E-Waste Events — pop-up electronics recycling drives run in partnership with neighborhood associations, schools, and civic groups across North Texas.
Loopway's inaugural Earth Day Award recognizes that work, and specifically the recurring partnership between The Junkluggers of Greater Dallas and the Preston Hollow Rotary Club — part of Rotary International, the global service organization — to give Dallas residents a free, no-questions-asked way to keep old electronics out of the landfill and out of the water supply.
At each event, community members drop off unwanted electronics — computers, monitors, phones, power cords, gaming systems, and more — at a single collection site. The Junkluggers crew handles sorting, hauling, and certified recycling at no cost to the host organization; the partner organization's only job is spreading the word. Certificates of hard-drive destruction are available on request for any computers collected.
The Preston Hollow Rotary Club's e-waste events are organized in the spirit of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 — Partnerships for the Goals — bringing together Rotary clubs, EarthX, businesses like The Junkluggers, and local congregations. Rotary's global environmental arm, the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG), tracks circular economy projects like this one from Rotary clubs worldwide. Loopway's Earth Day Award sits alongside a much larger recognition effort at EarthX itself. In March 2026, EarthX announced 50 "Brand Hero" nominees — companies across ten categories (Built Environment, Clean Energy, Oceans & Waters, Plastic Reduction, Regenerative Food & Farms, Sustainable Forestry, Sustainable Mining, and more) recognized for using market leadership and supply chain influence to advance a more circular economy. Ten winners, one per category, were honored live at Earthx2026.

The Brand Hero Awards were the centerpiece of the Circle America Summit: Advancing a Circular Economy and Culture, held Wednesday, April 22, 2026 — the same day and venue as Loopway's own Earth Day Award — as part of Earthx2026 at the Hilton Anatole. The summit also launched Circle America, a nationwide initiative to educate and mobilize the public around building a more circular culture.
