Is Loopway itself a nonprofit or a recycling company?
No. Loopway is an independent directory — we don’t collect, haul, or process any materials ourselves. We link to the organizations, agencies, and companies that do.
How do you decide what goes in the directory?
We prioritize official government agencies, established nonprofits, and companies with a verifiable, specific track record in reuse, recycling, or circular-economy work — not just companies that mention sustainability in passing.
Something on the site is out of date or wrong. What do I do?
Please contact us. Government agencies reorganize and nonprofits rebrand more often than you’d expect, and we rely on the community to help us catch it.
Can I nominate an organization or a Project of the Month?
Yes — use the contact form and select “Submitting a resource” or “Project of the Month nomination.”
Do you charge organizations to be listed?
No. Listings are added based on merit and relevance, not payment.
Why isn’t my state’s nonprofit listed?
For a handful of states we could not confidently verify a statewide reuse or recycling nonprofit at the time of writing (see individual state pages for notes). If you know of one, let us know.
